St Martin’s By The Bay Board Meeting Notes 10/25/12 Board meeting held on October 25th, 2012 at 6:30 PM. In attendance were: Craig Constantino, Mike Shutt, Russell Luzier and Joyce L Timmons. The meeting was called to order at 6:33 PM by Mike Shutt, Treasurer. With the previous resignation of Patricia Dukes as President/Chairperson and taking the position as a regular Board Member, this position became vacant. With this Craig Constantino nominated Russell Luzier. The vote was unanimous, all yeas, making Russell Luzier our current President/Chairperson. The discussion then went to the pool. In the 2011-2012 budget a reserve of $5,000. was set up with another $5,000. Set to be reserved in the 2012-2013 budgets. This reserve was set up to have repairs done to the pool. The job was put out for bids, and Mike has received a total of four. They are: Anthony Sylvan, Atlantic Pool, Premier Pools, and Pool Tech. These bids range from $10,000 to $20,000 plus. It was decided that some of the Board Members, in the next couple days would tour some of the pools in the area that Atlantic Pool has done to review their workmanship. An open meeting was discussed and is scheduled on November 17th to enable Association Members to weigh in on the discussion prior to a board decision. Russell will call Steele Services to schedule their services in winterizing the pool and bath houses. Delinquent payment for 2012 boat slips was up-dated by Craig and Mike. Mike will be sending out late payment notices. Mike is to talk with Steve Thumma in reference to the great work he has done in the dumpster and boat parking area, and to discuss additional work that is necessary there. Craig has agreed to contact Brandon, Carr and Mark for a bid on stucco work and the painting of the pump house. Mike stated that the septic tanks in section A and B have been pumped. This was done in September of this year, 2012. Mike was in Snow Hill today for a permit for burning the brush pile. He expects to get this tomorrow, Friday. Jim Peddicord’s check received for payment for one of the shallow boat slips is being returned with a cover letter stating that the check was only a partial payment and that full payment is due of $200.00. The open meeting is scheduled for November 17th at 11:00 AM at the Library.
