St Martin’s By The Bay Board Meeting 070707 The meeting was called to order by Oliver Walsh at 12:30 P.M. at the Worcester County Library at Ocean Pines. Attending were: Mr. & Mrs. Connors, Craig and Danielle Costantino, Bill and Joleen Killinger, Craig Pohland, Oliver Walsh, Joyce L Timmons, Mr. & Mrs. Bob Koubeck, Patti Baglieri, John Carr, John Rinkus, Mike Shutt, Stephanie Nornes, Siamack Bahrami. This meeting is being held in the form of a Round Table discussion, basically, of our water system and grass mowing. First Ollie read e-mails received from Bill and Joleen Killinger, attached as part of the minutes. The Treasurer’s report was next. Mike gave the balance of current CD’s with a balance sheet showing disbursements on the table up front for anyone who is interested to view. The balance of the general checking account is $9424.. He then gave current charges for the pool, lawn care and Sharp Water which are under the cost at this time in 2006. A new account has been set up for the Boat Dock with a balance of $8125.. The Ownership of the dock is now the Association and all maintenance and repairs will be charged to the Boat Dock account and the responsibility of this account lies with those who use the dock. Ollie gave an up-date of the information he has received from the State and County Officials concerning our water. The cost to each homeowner for county water would be approx. $3500. plus pay back for cost of infrastructure. We do have problems now; over usage, 480 gals per backwash twice daily, plastic gears in filtering system. We are in an orange flag area now that could turn red anytime. So, majority has agreed to go with an upgrade with our current system with a cost of $1700. - $1800. per quote from Sharp Water. Grass Mowing: According to information received it is advisable to keep the active septic system mowed to a height of three inches. This allows air circulation that aids in drying. The drain field should be cut with a bush hog twice yearly. Jeff Montgomery’s plans were approved for an addition onto his home. Joyce made a motion to adjourn the meeting and 2nd by C. Pohland.
